ENERGY THROUGH YOUR DAY

Same home.
New possibilities.

See how solar and storage can work together. Your actual energy flow depends on sunlight, demand, system settings and battery charge.

USE THE SUN

Power your day.
Save some for later.

Solar can supply your household loads while available surplus charges a compatible battery. Remaining surplus may be exported to the grid under your electricity plan.

THE DE ENERGY APPROACH

A clear plan.
From the start.

Based in Wellington, DE Energy brings a practical design approach to solar and battery systems. We start with your property and priorities, then work towards a system that makes sense for you.

01

Tell us about your home.

Your location, electricity use and goals give us a useful starting point.

02

Explore the right fit.

Roof layout, shading, electrical setup and battery location inform the design.

03

Review your proposal.

Understand the equipment, scope, assumptions and pricing before deciding.

04

Bring it all together.

Confirm installation arrangements, connection requirements and your system handover.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Let's make
solar clearer.

Do I need a battery?

No. Solar can work without storage. A battery can shift surplus daytime generation to later use; its value depends on your consumption, tariffs and installed cost.

Will it work during a power cut?

Ordinary grid-connected solar shuts down during an outage. Backup requires a suitable system with compatible equipment and a configured backup arrangement. Supported circuits and run time depend on the design, loads and available battery charge.

How much could I save?

Savings depend on your roof, local conditions, electricity rates and when you use power. A useful proposal should explain its assumptions rather than promise a fixed result.

Can I add a battery later?

It may be possible, but compatibility and installation requirements matter. Tell us if future storage is part of your plan so we can consider it from the beginning.

Which areas do you service?

We provide on-site solar and battery installation across the wider Wellington region, including Wellington City, the Hutt Valley, Porirua and the Kāpiti Coast. We can also consider properties a little over an hour away by car. Share your address when you enquire so we can confirm availability for your location.

What should I prepare for a solar quote?

Start with your property address, a recent electricity bill and what you want from your system, such as lower power bills, battery storage or backup power. Roof and switchboard photos, if available, can help with the initial assessment. Use the enquiry form below to tell us about your project.
